Marketing Communications Writer Senior
This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. About the role
The Marketing Communications Writer Senior is responsible for providing advanced creative and technical advice and writing support for the development and implementation of moderately complex marketing communication materials for Presale and Acquisition/Retention.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to define goals for acquiring and retaining clients across Large Group, National Accounts, GRS, and Carelon.
- Assess the effectiveness of communication plans, strategies, and materials, and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with creative teams to understand audience needs and deliver high-quality communications with quick turnaround times.
- Research, write, edit, and review content for proposal executive summaries, sales events, finalist and capabilities meetings, as well as retention and renewal presentations.
- Ensure all materials meet business and legal requirements, follow corporate standards, guidelines, and approval processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support key initiatives, including plain language, standardization, brand voice, company pillars, and accurate legal and site references.
Requirements
Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Skills
- Experience in healthcare or managed care, with exposure to sales and marketing efforts that support membership growth. Familiarity with the RFP process is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities; able to adapt and pivot as needed.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas and tailor messages to different audiences and write for different mediums, including landing pages, social media, and longer form executive summaries.
- Effective problem solver who looks for practical, timely solutions.
- Collaborative team player who values diverse perspectives and works well with others.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and tools like ChatGPT.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
- Experience using work management tools such as Workfront or similar systems.
Pay
For candidates working in person or virtually in California, Illinois, or Virginia, the salary range for this specific position is $79,120 to $136,482.

Schedule
Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week. Specific requirements and expectations for time onsite will be discussed as part of the hiring process.
