Marketing Communications Specialist
About the role
Join a mission-driven firm as a Marketing & Communications Coordinator. This role is ideal for an early-career marketing professional who enjoys coordinating multiple projects, collaborating with technical experts, and helping create compelling marketing materials that support business development and elevate brand visibility.
You'll play an integral role in content creation, maintaining marketing resources and analytics, assisting with event coordination, and creating engaging communications across digital and traditional platforms. Working closely with marketing staff and technical professionals, you'll help showcase the meaningful work we do across landscape architecture, environmental services, planning, engineering, geospatial services, cultural resources, and more.
This is a hybrid position based in our Syracuse, NY office.
Responsibilities
- Develop marketing materials that communicate EDR's expertise and help in client and project pursuits.
- Create and maintain marketing collateral, including project profiles, staff resumes, brochures, presentations, and other branded content.
- Research clients, markets, and industry trends to support strategic business development and marketing initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance marketing databases, templates, images, and other resources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Coordinate EDR's participation in conferences, career fairs, industry events, sponsorships, and other marketing initiatives.
- Create engaging internal and external communications, including news releases, presentations, website content, email communications, and social media posts.
- Support firmwide internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
- Help ensure consistency across all marketing materials by maintaining EDR's brand standards, messaging, and visual identity.
- Collaborate with professionals, project managers, and leadership across multiple disciplines and offices while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, English, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional marketing, communications, or proposal coordination experience (AEC industry experience is a plus).
- Strong written, verbal, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience creating professional marketing documents with strong attention to formatting and visual presentation.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communications.
- Strong organizational, project coordination, and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Pay
The anticipated base pay range is $60,000–$68,000, commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual's education, credentials, skill level, relevant experience, internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.
