Marketing Communications Intern

About the role

The Marketing Communications Intern will support GSACPC’s marketing, communications, and outreach initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, content creation, and copywriting. This paid, 25-hour-per-week internship works closely with the marketing team. Reports to: Sr. Director, MarCom.

Responsibilities

  • Draft social media content that aligns with the Girl Scout brand (voice, design, tone, etc.)
  • Draft and/or edit marketing materials, emails, Girl Scout Connections magazine articles and website copy
  • Auxiliary in storytelling efforts by gathering program updates, participant stories, photos, and testimonials
  • Maintain social media engagement and compile basic performance reports
  • Support content creative projects, event promotion and community outreach efforts
  • Perform other marketing and communications duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital marketing best practices
  • Basic graphic design skills using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Passion for nonprofit work and community impact
