About the role

Under minimal direction or supervision, the Marketing Communication Specialist II will plan, write content, create, and implement marketing communications projects and activities related to the sales and promotion of company products in a consistent, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This role includes global planning and execution responsibilities, working closely with assigned business units, and taking an active role in budgeting, planning, scheduling, and executing marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with product marketing and sales to plan, develop, coordinate, and monitor marketing campaigns and product launches for assigned product lines.
  • Provide ongoing leadership and support to ensure successful tactical implementation of business plans.
  • Develop positioning, messaging, and write copy for marketing materials, including emails, press releases, newsletters, data sheets, and brochures to gain consistent market recognition.
  • Interface with product marketing to smoothly transition products from development to launch phase.
  • Partner with Product Managers or Product Marketing Specialists in the development and execution of launch plans for new products.
  • Evaluate existing marketing materials, create new promotional materials as needed, and identify effective advertising opportunities.
  • Determine spending budgets for advertising, trade shows, and collateral materials in collaboration with Business Directors and Product Managers.
  • Maintain marketing communications budgets throughout the year and provide budget recommendations.
  • Manage tradeshow presence, including booth designs, layouts, graphics, and supporting materials.
  • Maintain the company website, including search engine optimization, AIO, organic searches, sponsorships, and writing website copy.
  • Work closely with graphic designers to ensure consistency of messages and brand through all global communications.
  • Utilize marketing automation tools and AI tools to enhance marketing efforts via nurturing programs, email distribution, and targeted messaging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate marketing communications, specifically marketing technical products.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage varied and simultaneous projects.
  • Results-oriented and metrics-driven.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other teams within the organization.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with complex, high-tech products.
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing communications principles and best practices, including campaign management, media planning, public relations, digital marketing, and measurement.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of CMS systems and Marketing Automation Tools (WordPress, HubSpot, SalesForce).
  • Working knowledge of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, etc.).
  • Travel may be required to tradeshows or other company events (less than 5%).

Pay

Competitive market salary from $72,000 - $79,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additional bonus opportunities may be available for eligible roles at the discretion of the company.
