About the role

The Marketing Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications initiatives that support organizational goals and enhance brand awareness. This position manages projects and strategic marketing campaigns, oversees content development and production, and creates clear, effective written communications for a variety of audiences.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Brand Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure brand consistency, support engagement efforts, and deliver high-quality marketing materials across multiple channels. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating all marketing and communication requests for MBA programs within Mays Business School
  • Acting as primary contact for advertising agency initiatives for each individual MBA program
  • Developing brand strategies for each program and working with third-party agency to execute against each strategy
  • Creating and providing strategic direction on email campaigns, facilitating website updates, assisting with social media campaigns, and monitoring campaign performance
  • Writing and editing copy for social media posts, email campaigns, website updates, and brochures for unit initiatives within Mays Business School
  • Researching best practices to help maintain efficiency and keeping abreast of industry advancements and learning opportunities

Requirements

Required education and experience include a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, and five years of experience in communications, digital marketing, or marketing field. A well-qualified candidate will also possess:

  • Experience working with or for advertising agencies
  • Outstanding verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute short and long-term projects
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience across a broad array of marketing channels
  • Proven ability to work in email marketing, print materials, writing, social media management, web content management, publications, and campaign management
  • Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make presentations of ideas
  • Strong initiative, commitment to lifelong learning, and willingness to ask questions
