Marketing Assistant

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Security Guard: Protect the works of art in the museum and ensure the safety of guests. Be in the galleries and alert to visitor activities, report concerns to the Facilities/Security manager, and be available when scheduled.
• Visitor Services Staff: Facilitate a successful visitor experience. Provide high-level customer service, sell admission, programs, classes, and memberships, answer phone calls, engage with visitors, handle questions and complaints, and monitor guest compliance with museum safety and visitor protocols. Work closely with volunteers, security, gift shop, housekeeping, café, and education.
• Maintenance Assistant: Support both the general maintenance of the museum and the grounds, and assist with the professional care, handling, and installation of artworks. Have a hands-on skill set, respect delicate materials, and work in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Marketing Assistant: Play a key role in museum communications and marketing. Help support and construct the overall museum story through successful marketing campaigns and creative visual assets.
• Weekend Cleaning Staff: Clean the main floor, Visitor Services, Reception Hall, and bathrooms at Cameron Art Museum on weekends.

Qualifications

• Security Guard: High school diploma or equivalent, criminal background check required.
• Visitor Services Staff: High school diploma or equivalent, customer service experience preferred.
• Maintenance Assistant: High school diploma or equivalent, experience in maintenance or related field preferred.
• Marketing Assistant: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

• Security Guard: $15 per hour
• Visitor Services Staff: $14 per hour
• Maintenance Assistant: $15 to $18 per hour
• Marketing Assistant: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

• Part-time positions offer flexible schedules and varying hours.
• Full-time positions offer standard 40-hour workweeks.
