Marketing Assets Designer
About the Role
The Marketing Assets Designer is a graphic designer who creates visual and print marketing assets to promote products, services, institutes, websites, campaigns, advertisements, and branded merchandise. This role collaborates on creative ideas and designs that meet project and marketing campaign objectives across a broad range of media and platforms. The designer also provides detailed specifications, optimized HTML and CSS, and prepares file layouts for print vendors or digital publishing. Additional responsibilities include creating or supporting brand images, logos, visual identities, and contributing to website design. The core goal is to combine visual elements with strategic messaging to capture audience attention, build brand trust, and drive measurable actions such as clicks, leads, and sales.
Responsibilities
- Designs visual and print marketing assets, blending graphic design principles with marketing strategies for purposes including social media graphics, website visuals, email assets, advertisements, presentations, brochures, catalogs, flyers, and other digital or printed materials.
- Creates visual storyboards for campaigns, ensuring designs capture audience attention and turn creative aesthetics into business results.
- Collaborates on asset creation for print and digital product development, social media assets, including photography and videography.
- Understands campaign goals and produces designs that achieve business results while ensuring the image matches the message of the service, product, or institute.
- Manages marketing assets by organizing, filing, approving, distributing, tracking, and sharing them throughout their lifecycle.
- Ensures all users with access to marketing assets know how to use them correctly, maintaining organization and preventing the use of outdated or incorrect files.
- Works closely with supervisors to maintain metadata schemes, file naming rules, folder structures, and naming conventions.
- Ensures consistent brand guidelines, usage, and quality controls across all media.
- Designs for websites in collaboration with supervisors and website administrators.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Technical Skills
- Mastery of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for print and digital assets.
- Proficiency in Figma or Sketch for web pages, landing pages, and collaborative design systems.
- Basic skills in Adobe After Effects or Premiere for animated social ads and video content.
- Basic knowledge of front-end code to build email templates, tweak web landing pages, or publish web graphics.
- Able to build and maintain scalable brand components.
- Experience designing variant assets for split-testing ad performance.
- Mastery of social media formatting, including exact dimension specs, video loops, and interactive specs for major platforms.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of hands-on progressive experience in marketing design with a varied portfolio demonstrating real design (not concepts) and results.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or marketing with 2 or more years of experience focused on marketing design.
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, or Canva.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and web layout.
- Expert knowledge of social media formats.
- Skilled in PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of HubSpot and WordPress; ability to quickly learn and guide others in HubSpot platforms used in marketing.
- Able to discuss design ideas with non-designers and translate ideas into accurate concepts.
- Comfortable communicating with multiple levels of professionals.
- Skilled at handling multiple projects under tight deadlines while remaining composed and creative under pressure.
- Experienced in communicating with multiple educational and professional audiences (preferred).
- Accepts and applies feedback, working with copywriters and sales staff to create high-quality products.
- High accountability for performance; goal-oriented and flexible.
- Regular, reliable, and prompt attendance.
- Stays informed of developments in social media and digital marketing.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to use a computer or telephones for up to 8 hours per day, with breaks and lunch.
- Ability to travel by airplane and automobile.
