About the role

The Marketing Analyst at GECU plays a crucial role in making data-driven marketing decisions. They ensure analytics, reporting, and insights align with strategic goals and business needs, collaborate with internal stakeholders, and develop clear, compelling stories to highlight campaign impact and business opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Support organizational and marketing priorities by aligning analytics, reporting, and insights with strategic goals and business needs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to gather and clarify business requirements, define success measures, and bridge business intent with technical execution.
  • Collaborate with business analytics partners and contribute to centralized reporting resources that can be shared, improved, and scaled across the organization.
  • Analyze marketing, member, and performance data to uncover actionable insights that strengthen strategy, campaign optimization, and growth.
  • Develop thoughtful, data-informed recommendations that help solve marketing and business challenges and support sound decision-making.
  • Evaluate campaign performance through testing, targeting, and ongoing analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and measurable return on investment.
  • Analyze member behavior, segmentation, and product usage to support persona development, life-stage marketing, and personalized strategies that improve acquisition and retention.
  • Turn complex data into clear, compelling stories that highlight campaign impact, member behavior, and business opportunities for a range of audiences.
  • Apply data storytelling to connect insight with action and help shape marketing strategies that support overall business objectives.
  • Help establish benchmarks, standardized metrics, and scalable reporting practices that strengthen performance measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Develop, manage, and deliver accurate, consistent, and scalable reporting, dashboards, and visualizations that track key performance indicators and communicate marketing and product performance.
  • Maintain standardized business rules and data definitions that promote consistency, clarity, and trust in reporting across the Communications function.
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners to preserve data integrity, improve reporting quality, and expand access to shared insights and analytical resources.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis, presentations, and special project support with a focus on accuracy, relevance, and clarity.
  • Serve as a proactive, self-directed team member who contributes positively both independently and in collaboration with others.
  • Ensure work and supporting materials comply with applicable regulations, internal policies, and established standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of team and organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, Statistics, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, campaign measurement, segmentation, targeting, and member/customer behavior analysis.
  • Familiarity with persona development, lifecycle marketing, and campaign testing is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business-requirements gathering skills.
  • Ability to evaluate campaign and business performance through testing, trend analysis, ROI assessment, and strategic performance frameworks.
  • Ability to translate data into clear, compelling narratives and presentations for a variety of audiences.
  • Knowledge of data governance, standardized business rules, metric definitions, data integrity, and shared reporting environments.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, organization, and self-management skills.
  • Exposure to member or customer lifecycle analysis, retention strategy, product usage analytics, and presenting insights to leaders or cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with analytics and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, CRM, and Marketing Automation platforms), including advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience querying and manipulating data using SQL.
  • Proven experience developing reports, dashboards, and performance insights that support business or marketing decision-making.
