About the role

As a Marketing Account Manager, you serve as the primary marketing lead between vendor partners and category teams, driving strategic business growth, marketing alignment, and revenue generation. Acting as both a trusted advisor and growth-focused business developer, you identify opportunities to expand vendor investment, strengthen partnerships, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

This position offers flexibility to work from either our downtown Buffalo, NY office or our corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA, following a hybrid work schedule (three days onsite, two days remote).

Responsibilities

  • Create and communicate strategic marketing plans aligned with business objectives, technology roadmaps, and alliance partner capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to pitch ideas, present results, and deliver actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Lead marketing budget planning, forecasting, and financial performance to ensure accountability and maximize return on investment.
  • Partner with Client Services Managers, Vendor Business Managers, Platform Advocates, and cross-functional teams to develop, execute, and optimize integrated marketing programs aligned with vendor objectives and contractual commitments.
  • Serve as the strategic marketing lead and primary point of contact for assigned vendor partners.
  • Develop, present, and execute integrated vendor marketing plans aligned with business objectives, sales strategies, and product roadmaps.
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and develop new vendor growth opportunities to increase marketing investment and revenue.
  • Manage a portfolio of assigned vendors, prioritizing strategic growth, relationship development, and revenue generation.
  • Forecast and manage MDF budgets, marketing investments, and performance metrics while ensuring financial accountability.
  • Conduct regular business and marketing reviews, presenting campaign performance, strategic recommendations, and future investment opportunities.
  • Translate vendor business objectives into actionable marketing strategies and measurable results.
  • Educate vendors on Ingram Micro's marketing capabilities, solutions, and self-service opportunities to maximize engagement and platform adoption.
  • Partner with Vendor Business Managers, Client Services, Platform Advocates, and vendor onboarding teams to ensure alignment on marketing objectives, contractual commitments, and campaign execution.
  • Collaborate with category teams, group managers, leadership, Account Managers, Client Services, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive integrated marketing initiatives.
  • Provide leadership with financial updates, business insights, and recommendations regarding account growth, investment potential, and account transitions.
  • Gather vendor feedback to continuously improve marketing offerings, campaign effectiveness, and platform capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, including 2-4 years in marketing, account management, or sales (preferably in tech or distribution).
  • Working knowledge of marketing financials (MDF, forecasting, ROI tracking).
  • Experience with cross-functional planning and vendor relationships.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complex marketing budgets.

Pay

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $78,000.00 - $124,800.00 per year. Individual base pay depends on factors such as role complexity, job duties, relevant experience, skills, and primary work location. Base pay ranges are reviewed and updated annually, with new hires typically starting in the lower half of the range.
