Marketing Account Executive-Workers Compensation

About the role

Strategic Comp is a division of Great American Insurance Company, based in Cincinnati, OH. We specialize in workers' compensation coverage for large companies through the independent agency system.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and intricacies of Strategic Comp’s product via strong group presentation skills and effective one-on-one communication.
• Work on new business and renewal work comp accounts, including presenting accounts to the Underwriting Department with a strategy for successful orders.
• Communicate and manage relationships with agents, our underwriting department, and Account Executives.
• Market products and services through the independent agency system in a specific geographic territory, aiming for high renewal retention and profitable new business growth.
• Serve as the front-line underwriter for new business submissions.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 10+ years of experience in production underwriting or marketing commercial insurance on large accounts, preferably in workers’ compensation.
• Additional experience in underwriting, loss control, or claims is a plus.
• Knowledge of the independent agent system and strong relationships with key agencies in the territory.
• Reside in one of the following cities: San Francisco, Sacramento, or East Bay Area.

Pay

$120,000.00 - $165,000.00

Schedule

The position requires working from home and traveling up to 60% of the time, including some overnight travel. A company car is provided.
