Job Summary

Responsible for managing and coordinating patient safety and risk management initiatives in order to support the market strategic plan and goals, and meet HCA quality objectives and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate activities in: Clinical excellence, Patient safety and risk management, Systems thinking and reliable design, Identification and mitigation of patient safety risks, Safety culture advancement, Patient safety education, Measurable reduction in avoidable harm, Risk management/claims activities, Process improvement and outcomes management, Regulatory readiness, including CMS Conditions of Participation, Agency for Healthcare Administration, and The Joint Commission, Project Management, including annual Patient Safety Program
  • Closely coordinate work with the Market VP Quality and the Market Chief Medical Officer
  • Ensure facility compliance with The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Conditions of Participation, AHCA, other standards, rules and regulations
  • Occasional travel and temporary placement in hospitals in need of quality leadership required

Qualifications

  • Required Education: Bachelors Degree in a clinically related field, preferable registered nurse
  • Required Experience: 4+ years of experience in Leadership in a clinical and quality improvement setting in an Acute Care Hospital; Management experience
  • Required Licenses, Certifications, Trainings: Clinical licensure, preferably RN; Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)
