Market Sector Lead - Highway & Bridge
About the role
This role will be based in Raleigh, North Carolina and will serve as a key member of the leadership team for a four-state region including North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama. The Market Sector Leader will be responsible for standing up and leading the Highway/Bridge Sector, which includes oversight of multiple practice areas such as roadway design, structures, hydraulics, utilities, right-of-way, and alternative delivery.
Responsibilities
- Build a scalable, high-performing sector that integrates growth, delivery excellence, employee engagement, and client satisfaction.
- Manage large, multidisciplinary teams or business units.
- Develop and sustain strong client relationships across Southeast transportation markets.
- Lead organizational transformation and implement systems-driven operations.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Ten years of experience in transportation engineering, with significant experience in highway and/or bridge programs or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing large, multidisciplinary teams or business units.
- Experience with business management, including revenue growth, backlog, and operational performance.
- Experience and client relationship development working with DOT clients (e.g., NCDOT and Southeast agencies).
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Twenty years of experience in transportation infrastructure.
- Experience leading or building business units or practice areas.
- Demonstrated experience developing and sustaining strong client relationships across Southeast transportation markets.
- Experience with alternative delivery (Design-Build, P3, CM/GC).
- Demonstrated ability to lead organizational transformation and implement systems-driven operations.

Pay
The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $180000 to $250000 per year.
Schedule
This role is offered on a hybrid schedule.
