Market Risk Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking an Intermediate Market Risk Analyst to provide second-line oversight of market risk within non-agency Mortgages and Jumbo whole loans securitization businesses. In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert, identifying, assessing, and reporting on market risks while delivering guidance on complex market risk issues and supporting strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Onboard valuation models and data sources for Jumbo Whole loans and securitization of non-agency MBS.
• Validate risk results, enhance risk factor coverage, generate risk metrics, and define stress scenarios.
• Perform in-depth risk analysis on U.S. non-agency MBS and related products, including exposure monitoring, sensitivity analysis, and performance drivers (e.g., spread risk, optionality, prepayment, and credit dynamics).
• Analyze daily market risk positions through quantitative and qualitative assessments, validate reporting accuracy, and present high-quality insights and recommendations to management.
• Develop, implement, and maintain standards, policies, and processes to identify, measure, report, and mitigate market risk exposures.
• Support business partners with scenario analysis and stress testing across various market environments.
• Identify emerging risks, aggregate key exposures, and escalate material issues to appropriate governance forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in market risk management, financial risk, or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience with U.S. non-agency MBS, structured credit products, or securitized assets.
• Strong working knowledge of market risk assessment frameworks, risk modeling tools, and risk methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA or FRM designation.
• Proficiency in Python.

Pay

$45 - 47 per hour
