Responsibilities
- Think strategically by converting strategic plans and initiatives into shorter term-operational goals.
- Participate in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic business and performance goals by leading and directing the operations of the branch office.
- Work closely with the Branch Operations Manager to resolve and satisfy customer level service issues.
- Work closely with the Branch Operations Manager and Branch Operations Coordinator to ensure consistency and adherence to all bank and/or operational policies and procedures occur within the branch office.
- Mentor, coach and develop employees, focusing on growth, strategy and employee development.
- Provide assistance and guidance to employees regarding ongoing sales management coaching and sales development activities designed to optimize the profit and loss results for the office.
- Manage management responsibilities including the sourcing and hiring of talented individuals for the department.
- Prospect and source lending, deposit and cash management opportunities.
- Manage an active pipeline while maintaining an existing portfolio.
- Effectively negotiate loan structuring and pricing of credit extensions.
- Emphasize sound underwriting with proper documentation and compliance.
- Develop and deploy sales campaigns throughout the year in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
- Participate in community and civic events to promote awareness of the Bank in the community.
- Serve on Senior Loan Committee, Strategic Planning Committee and other management committees as necessary.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's policies and applicable laws, including coordinating new hire training and monitoring ongoing training of employees; performance appraisals; providing recommendations on hiring and firing decisions; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field preferred and one to two years related experience; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Continuing education to remain current with area of responsibility.
Qualifications
- Must have stellar written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Must possess good management and human resource skills.
- Must possess extensive background in financial institution operating policies and procedures, banking regulations, and employee development.
- Must maintain extensive public relations with customers, the community and the general public to promote good will for the Bank.
- Proficiency in computer software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
