Job Summary
The Market Portfolio Assistant is responsible for assisting Business Bankers with office duties such as opening/closing the office, answering the phone, and providing exceptional customer service. They serve as the face of the bank, relationship contact, and liaison between clients and other areas of the Bank in resolving client problems and meeting their needs.
Responsibilities
- Aid in preparing and following up on documents for loan closings within the bank's loan origination systems.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and conformance with Bank policies and procedures.
- Work closely with loan officers and Bank's approved settlement agents to coordinate loan closings and obtain necessary documentation for transactions.
- Maintain superior quality service in completing all customer transactions.
- Match the financial needs of customers with appropriate bank products and services.
- Support the bank's strategic goals, vision, mission, core values, service standards, and service philosophy.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of bank's products and services.
- Willingness to serve.
- Efficient functioning in a network environment and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- General business-level math skills and understanding of bank account reconciliations.
- Ability to collect, research, and analyze information.
- Self-starter, creative thinker, flexible, eager, nurturing, open to change, and exhibits good judgment.
- Leadership by example, attentive to detail, works well with others, and responsive to supervisory guidance.
- Identify and interpret trends in financial data.
- Working knowledge of compliance guidelines for the bank and the industry.
- Prospecting for new clients, conducting interviews, closing deals, asking for referrals, tracking new business, initiating communications with vendors, documenting and maintaining records of transactions, and keeping records of sales results.
- Knowledge, skills, and experience with loan software.
- Knowledge of loan documentation necessary for consumer and commercial lending, lending regulations, reading financial statements, identifying and interpreting trends in financial data, and understanding loans and commitment letters.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, college preferred.
- Three years of banking, administrative, and related sales experience preferred.
