Market Medical Assistant - El Paso East

Responsibilities

• Aid in patient flow process
• Secure and stock necessary supplies
• Prepare exam rooms and patients for examinations
• Assist providers with exams or procedures
• Provide treatments and medications as directed
• Perform diagnostic testing including specimen collection
• Follow assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation protocols
• Conduct drug screen collections for DOT and non-DOT drug screens
• Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, check-in/check-out, filing, faxing, record processing, and shared housekeeping
• Perform medical support duties including suture and staple removal, injections, and blood draws
• Access protected health information according to the Minimal Necessary Standard
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and management
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assisting technical program
• Proficient computer skills
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, leadership, time management, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work positively among diverse groups and promote a “TEAM” environment
• Ability to travel as needed
• Flexibility in schedule as needed
• Valid Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance meeting state minimum requirements
