Responsibilities
- Lead market research efforts to identify growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and market trends.
- Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to increase market share and profitability.
- Analyze industry, financial, technological, and competitive factors to guide business decisions and support sales and engineering initiatives.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships.
- Serve as a project leader, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure customer needs are met and opportunities are successfully executed.
- Lead pricing strategies, promotional activities, and profitability initiatives to achieve growth and margin objectives.
- Manage RFQ processes, including contract review, costing, and pricing.
- Provide operations with accurate demand forecasts and market intelligence to support delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Partner with global Hutchinson teams to ensure consistent service and support for worldwide customers.
- Support digital marketing efforts by developing customer success stories and market-driven content.
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or another technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of related experience in market management, product management, business development, or industrial marketing.
- Experience developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, sales, and executive leadership teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
Qualifications
- PREFERRED: MBA or advanced business degree.
- Experience within Industrial, Vehicle, OEM, engineered products, manufacturing, or related markets.
- Knowledge of ISO, TS, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.
- Experience managing custom-engineered product solutions and industrial OEM customers.
