Responsibilities
- Market Ownership & Strategy
- Own the performance and growth of assigned market segment(s)
- Develop and execute market-specific strategies aligned to company objectives
- Identify opportunities across product mix, pricing, positioning, and channels
- Continuously evaluate and adjust strategy based on performance and market trends
- Customer & Market Insight
- Develop a deep understanding of customer segments, behaviors, and decision drivers
- Monitor industry trends, seasonal demand patterns, and emerging opportunities
- Identify unmet customer needs and recommend solutions
- Translate insights into clear recommendations and action plans
- Evaluate the end-to-end customer experience across digital touchpoints, including website navigation, product presentation, and conversion pathways
- Provide ongoing competitive insights to leadership and commercial teams
- Competitive Intelligence
- Track and analyze competitor offerings, pricing, positioning, and promotions
- Identify risks and opportunities within the market landscape
- Provide competitive insights to leadership and commercial teams
- Product Launch & Go-To Market Ownership
- Own go-to-market execution for products within assigned market segment(s)
- Ensure successful market adoption through alignment with sales, campaigns, and partner channels
- Gather and synthesize customer and market feedback to inform future product enhancements and portfolio recommendations
- Provides input into product strategy, but does not own new product development
- Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate with Sales, Commercial, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with market needs
- Support prioritization of initiatives based on market opportunity and impact
- Demand Generation & Sales Enablement
- Support development of targeted, market-driven campaigns
- Provide input on messaging, offers, and targeting strategies
- Partner with sales teams to identify growth opportunities and improve lead quality
- Contribute to go-to-market planning and execution for key initiatives
- Provide input into digital channel strategies, including website content, SEO priorities, and paid media direction, to improve customer acquisition and conversion
- Analytics & Market Assessment
- Design analytics frameworks and reporting tools to assess market performance
- Monitor key metrics including: Revenue trends, Conversion rates, Product performance, Customer behavior
- Translate data into directional insights and recommendations
- Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities and take action to adjust market approach
- Analyze digital performance metrics including website engagement, conversion rates, traffic sources, and campaign effectiveness (e.g., SEO, PPC, ROAS) to inform market strategy
- Commercial Team Alignment (Sales + Marketing)
- Partner closely with the Commercial team to align on: Market opportunities, Customer needs, Revenue growth strategies
- Support sales efforts through: Market insights, Targeting recommendations, Campaign alignment
- Participate in customer-facing discussions as needed to better understand market dynamics
- Market Engagement & Industry Presence
- Maintain strong connection to the market through: Trade shows, Industry events, Customer and partner interactions
- Partner closely with the Integrated Communications & Events Manager to plan and deliver market-driven event strategies that support broader marketing and commercial objectives
- Evaluate and recommend participation in trade shows and industry events based on market opportunity, customer presence, and expected ROI
- Partner with the Commercial team to: Align event strategy with market priorities, Define objectives, messaging, and target audiences for events
- Travel as needed to support commercial initiatives and gather market insight
- Use direct market exposure to: Identify trends, Gather customer feedback, Inform strategy and recommendation
- Strategic Contribution & Support
- Contribute to content direction, campaign concepts, and market-facing messaging
- Provide hands-on support where needed to accelerate execution or close gaps
- Ensure market insights are reflected across marketing and sales initiatives
- Contribute to customer-facing content, including product descriptions, website messaging, blogs, and visual direction, ensuring alignment with market needs and positioning
- Continuous Optimization
- Identify underperforming areas and recommend improvements
- Support testing and optimization of messaging, campaigns, and strategies
- Drive data-informed decision making across teams
- Operating Model & Reporting Alignment
- Work through the Director of Marketing for execution prioritization and resource allocation
- Maintain alignment with VP of Marketing on market strategy and direction
- Serve as a key input into strategic planning and market-level decision making
- Other Duties As Assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
- Seven (7) – ten (10) years of experience in market strategy, category management, or B2B marketing/commercial roles
- Experience in B2B, wholesale, print, or multi-segment environments preferred
- Experience supporting product launches and go-to-market execution
- Experience working closely with sales or commercial teams
- Exposure to channel, distributor, or reseller-based business models preferred
- Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies
Skills
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to understand and interpret market trends, customer behavior, and competitive dynamics
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment with marketing, sales, and operations teams
- Ability to influence without direct authority
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong program and project management skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting channel or reseller ecosystems
- Background in B2B, manufacturing, or print/production environments
- Proficiency in analytics and reporting tools (e.g., GA4, Tableau, Power BI, CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce, Magento)
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical execution support
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
A hybrid work environment (While this role is hybrid), preference will be given to candidates located near one of our 4over production facilities to support collaboration and operational alignment. Regular collaboration across Marketing, Sales, and Operations teams. Up to 35% travel may be required.
