Market Development Liaison, Community Relations, Full-Time, Days
MarinHealth is an integrated, independent healthcare system with deep roots throughout the North Bay. With a world-class physician and clinical team, an affiliation with UCSF Health, an ever-expanding network of clinics, and a new state-of-the-art hospital, MarinHealth is growing quickly. MarinHealth comprises MarinHealth Medical Center, a 327-bed hospital in Greenbrae, and 55 primary care and specialty clinics in Marin, Sonoma, and Napa Counties.
About the role
The Market Development Liaison helps develop and implement strategy and network development across the health system, including hospital and physician network development, joint ventures, outreach initiatives, and clinical enterprise business development. This role builds relationships with new and existing providers across all specialties inside and outside MarinHealth, developing tactics to increase market footprint. The Market Development Liaison works under the VP of Marketing and Communications to develop and implement growth strategies, collaborating with providers, strategy, physician development, and marketing teams to drive referrals and resolve service issues.
Daily activities include evaluating data for strategic growth, developing action plans, resolving issues, tracking volume, facilitating physician introductions, establishing relationships with administrators, and planning outreach events. Travel throughout the North Bay and beyond is required.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with marketing leadership, strategy, physician development, and service line leadership to identify target physicians for new business supporting strategic growth initiatives.
- Develop sales plans for strategic initiatives using market utilization data, referral patterns, and trends to ensure data-driven decisions.
- Achieve assigned touch point quotas and report on activity metrics for assigned accounts.
- Coordinate and attend outreach meetings with physician groups or strategic targets to grow new business.
- Conduct ongoing meetings with business development and physician leaders to align outreach strategy.
- Collaborate with strategic marketing teams on growth goals, participate in marketing meetings, and develop collateral and presentations.
- Report changing trends and market intelligence impacting decision-making.
- Maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) system to track physician engagements, external contacts, and reported concerns.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of MarinHealth, the broader Marin medical community, and the North Bay healthcare marketplace.
- Participate actively in department and team meetings to support strategy and team collaboration.
- Act in compliance with all UC policies and procedures, with attention to reimbursement requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of five years’ experience in marketing or an ad agency setting; healthcare experience preferred.
- Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and calendaring/email systems like Outlook.
- Valid California Driver’s License.

Pay
Compensation range: $54.32 - $81.48 per hour.
Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts.
- 40 scheduled weekly hours.
