About the role

The Market & Business Intelligence Manager will lead the development and execution of analytics strategies in support of the firm’s strategic initiatives. This role involves managing a team of business analysts to deliver high-quality data products and insights that inform firm-wide decision-making, portfolio optimization, and sector intelligence. The ideal candidate combines technical depth, strategic thinking, leadership, and strong communication skills to collaborate with senior executives and staff.

Location

This hybrid position can be based in one of the following offices: Reston, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Diego, Seattle, Short Hills, Washington DC, or Wilmington.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Design and implement analytics strategies aligned with firm goals, including proactive intelligence delivery and client segmentation.
  • Lead analytics projects from scope to delivery, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Sector Practices, Practice Groups, Business Development & Marketing, and corporate groups to understand needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance policies, maintaining data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the evolution of internal tools for advanced business analytics, workflow automation, and reporting capabilities.

Skills

  • Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated ability to develop talent and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Statistical Analysis & Data Mining: Proficiency in statistical methods and techniques, including expertise with AI for market and business analysis.
  • Advanced Analytics: Deep knowledge of analytics methodologies, tools, and technologies, including predictive modeling and segmentation.
  • Programming & Database Management: Strong skills in the Microsoft environment (e.g., Fabric, Azure), Python, R, or SQL, with experience querying and managing large databases.
  • Data Visualization: Expertise in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to create impactful visualizations.
  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Ability to approach challenges analytically and recommend data-driven actions.
  • Strategic Thinking: Experience aligning analytics initiatives with business goals and driving measurable impact.
  • Project Management: Skilled in managing multiple projects with competing priorities and stakeholders.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to translate complex data into clear insights and influence decision-making across departments.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in business analytics, market research, and/or competitive intelligence.

Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking and standing.

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote and in-office work. The requirement for in-office presence will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager and may be adjusted at the firm’s discretion.

Pay

The expected hiring range for this position is $112,879 - $164,525 per year, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location, experience, skills, educational background, and overall qualifications.
