Market & Business Intelligence Manager
About the role
The Market & Business Intelligence Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting DLA Piper's strategic initiatives through the development and execution of analytics strategies. This role oversees a team of business analysts, ensuring they deliver high-quality data products and insights that drive various intelligence initiatives. Additionally, the role involves gathering, analyzing, and providing insights that inform firm strategy, talent strategy, and business development.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Strategic Planning and Execution: Design and implement analytics strategies that align with firm goals, including proactive intelligence delivery and client segmentation.
Project Management: Lead analytics projects from scope to delivery, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and stakeholder expectations are met.
Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior leaders across Sector Practices, Practice Groups, Business Development & Marketing, and corporate groups to understand needs and deliver actionable insights.
Data Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to data governance policies, maintaining data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
Tool Development and Enhancement: Oversee the evolution of internal tools for advanced business analytics, workflow automation, and reporting capabilities.
Requirements
Proven success building and leading analytics teams.
Demonstrated ability to develop talent and lead cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in statistical methods and techniques to extract insights from complex datasets, including expertise with AI for market & business analysis.
Deep knowledge of analytics methodologies, tools, and technologies, including predictive modeling and segmentation.
Strong skills in the Microsoft environment (e.g., Fabric, Azure), Python, R, or SQL, with experience in querying and managing large databases.
Expertise in data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
Ability to approach challenges analytically and recommend data-driven actions.
Experience aligning analytics initiatives with business goals and driving measurable impact.
Skilled in managing multiple projects with competing priorities and stakeholders.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to translate complex data into clear insights and influence decision-making across departments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Marketing, or related field.
PREFERRED: Master’s Degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum 8 years’ progressive experience working in the business analytics, market research, and/or competitive intelligence environment.

Pay
The compensation offered for employment will be within the range of $112,879 - $164,525 per year, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
