About the role
The Market & Business Intelligence Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting DLA Piper's strategic initiatives. They conduct extensive research on current and potential clients, analyze search results, compile reports, and provide insights to enhance the firm's competitive edge.
Responsibilities
- Identify market trends, industry developments, client movements, and other relevant client news.
- Conduct thorough research on current and potential clients using web sources and internal data.
- Analyze search results, compile reports, and provide a written executive summary.
- Support the firm's business development and competitive advantage initiatives.
- Assess the firm's clients, prospects, key industries serviced, and competitors, and identify new markets.
- Assist in client pitches and prepare necessary information for responding to Request for Proposals (RFPs).
- Contribute to the development of a highly functional global competitive intelligence research and business analysis team by suggesting innovative ideas and utilizing specialized tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills
- Strong analytical skills to gather, analyze, and interpret various data information.
- Knowledge of the legal market and competitors is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff at all levels.
- Experience using AI to conduct research.
- Proficiency in data gathering and analysis, including organizing and manipulating data in Excel spreadsheets using basic and advanced functions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to extract insights and produce recommendations from market and client research.
- Competency in data management and visualization tools such as Power BI and Alteryx.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Market Research, Business Analytics, Business, Library Services, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in MBA, MS, MLIS, or a related master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in marketing research or knowledge services.

Pay
The compensation range for this position is $80,348 - $117,111 per year, depending on the candidate's geographic market location. The final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, educational background, and overall qualifications.
Schedule
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, combining remote and in-office work. The exact arrangement will be determined in coordination with the hiring manager or supervisor and may be modified in the firm's discretion.
