Market Automotive Apprentice Buyer

About the role

EchoPark Automotive is seeking an Automotive Market Apprentice Buyer to join their team in Newport Beach, CA. This position offers hands-on learning in managing the used vehicle inventory, from acquisition to pricing and processing.

Responsibilities

• Learn to obtain used-car inventory through our consumer purchasing process
• Learn how to set and price vehicles
• Understand reconditioning costs
• Make financial decisions related to car deals
• Process car deals and input customer information
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service

Requirements

• Solid understanding of the retail and wholesale automobile sales processes
• Excellent analytical and valuation skills, with a strong process orientation
• Management or prior purchasing experience preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience with web-based search applications and tablet technology
• Clean motor vehicle and criminal background records

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include management or prior purchasing experience, but all candidates must demonstrate strong analytical and valuation skills, along with excellent communication and customer service abilities.
