Marine Fueling Specialist (PIC)
Role and Responsibilities
- Facilitate the safe and compliant transfer of marine fuel from tanker trucks to various vessels in South Florida.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations regarding marine fuel operations.
- Operate and maintain fueling equipment, perform routine safety inspections, and maintain various pieces of the fueling equipment.
- Plan, execute, and document fuel delivery operations for marine vessels.
- Address issues or challenges that arise during fuel delivery operations, including fuel quality, delivery delays, equipment malfunctions, and fuel spills.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively coordinate with chief engineers, truck drivers, port authorities, and dispatch management.
- Valid and clean Class E driver's license.
- Must possess the ability to pull and maneuver flatbed trailers up to twenty feet long.
- Up-to-date TWIC card.
- Must be able to demonstrate and apply basic mechanical principles. Mechanical experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials up to 75lbs.
- Willingness to routinely work weekends along with holidays when necessary.
