Marine Engine Technician/Mechanic

What You’ll Do as a Marine Field Service Technician

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair Caterpillar marine engines and generators aboard vessels and at port facilities.
• Perform in-field engine overhauls and marine power unit service.
• Diagnose and repair electronic marine control systems.
• Deliver service excellence directly onboard marine vessels.
• Communicate professionally with vessel owners, captains, and customers.
• Document service actions and support safety-first field operations.

Requirements

• Mustown proper tools required for marine engine repair.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or technical certification preferred (military or relevant field experience will also be considered).
• Experience servicing diesel engines and performing generator repair.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electronic marine control systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills for service documentation.
