About the role

STRUCTURAL is seeking a Marine Construction Superintendent to lead teams in concrete repair, seawall remediation, and other marine projects. The ideal candidate will manage field leaders, foremen, and technicians, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level management to field leaders, foremen, and technicians
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Division Managers, and other leaders
  • Participate in pre-project and pre-task planning activities
  • Disseminate planning details to field crews
  • Motivate team members to work together
  • Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities
  • Assign work to employees based on material and worker requirements
  • Ensure crews operate tools and equipment safely and productively
  • Train and assist crews in performing work-related tasks
  • Assist Project Managers in evaluating production rates
  • Complete essential paperwork accurately
  • Interview and hire new field employees
  • Lead the company's Safety 24/7 culture

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in general construction, with at least 5 years in a Foreman or Assistant Superintendent role
  • Experience in marine projects, including commercial dive teams and underwater work
  • Willingness to travel and work out of state for extended periods
  • Ability to supervise various levels of field managers and crews, including moderate subcontractor oversight
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and executing construction drawings and contract specifications
  • Proven dedication to safety and adherence to company operating principles
  • Experience producing look-ahead schedules and working with other construction documents
  • Effective communication skills with customers, crews, and project teams
  • Intermediate computer skills and construction math skills

Qualifications

  • ADCI Commercial Diving Supervisor or equivalent commercial diving certification (preferred)
  • Experience with structural strengthening, waterproofing, corrosion control, cathodic protection systems, seawalls, underwater concrete placements, and vessel operation
  • Prior experience with Power & Industrial (e.g., power plants) and/or Government (e.g., FDOT, NAVFAC) clients
