We are committed to providing superior service and leaving things better than we found them. US Coatings (USC) is currently seeking a Marine Coatings Blaster/Painter Helper. This position is responsible for effectively and safely assisting the Sandblaster/Painter, Foreman, or Supervisor with surface preparation, coatings application, and all associated phases of marine coatings.
Responsibilities
- As directed by the Sandblaster/Painter, Foreman, or Supervisor, assist in preparing surfaces and applying coatings to various structures, tanks, piping, and miscellaneous surfaces in accordance with customer specifications and manufacturer recommendations.
- Assist with the assembly, maintenance, repair, and cleaning of abrasive blasting and painting equipment.
- May assist in mixing and thinning coatings according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Assist in constructing protective enclosures to prevent overspray of customer equipment.
- Cooperate with Supervisors and fellow workers in carrying out assigned work.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and storage of equipment and supplies.
