About the Role

Marina Attendants successfully complete all tasks related to the smooth operation of the marina as instructed to promote the overall professional image of their respective OneWater store. They contribute to the customer’s delight and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist all customers in a friendly and professional manner providing an excellent customer experience.
  • Perform regular maintenance duties, including cleaning docks, walkways, and common areas, as well as maintaining fuel stations.
  • Assist customers with fueling their boats, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Assist customers with docking and undocking their vessels.
  • Appropriately demonstrate the proper use of equipment to customers as needed.
  • Report any damage or concerns about the boats or equipment to management.
  • Follow all safety and compliance regulations, with daily inspections to ensure safe conditions for staff and customers.
  • Complete all other tasks as requested by management.

Skills

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Knowledge of boating safety procedures.
  • Proficient swimmer.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a marina, boating, or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license and valid boating license.

  • Remaining in a stationary position: Constantly (5-8 hrs./shift) standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions: Constantly (5-8 hrs./shift) that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Moving about: Constantly to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
  • Operating motor vehicle: Rarely (not a regular part of the job).
  • Communicating with others: Constantly to exchange information.
  • Assessing accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness: Occasionally (up to 2 hrs./shift).
  • Hearing, talking, and seeing: Constantly.
  • Eye/Hand/Foot Coordination: Constantly.

Physical Workload: Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to intense weather conditions.
  • This position does not operate exclusively in an indoor office environment with controlled temperatures.
