Marina Attendant

Position Summary

Looking for a great way to spend summer? Here it is! Come join us for some fun in the sun on Lake Keowee at Vineyards Marina located in the Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards. This full‑time seasonal job puts you on the water for the summer. You'll help people get the most out of lake days by driving boats between the docks and ramp, fueling boats, and sending them out on the water in our rental boats and seeing their smiles when they return.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing an excellent customer experience.
• Assist customers with boat rentals, providing departure and return instructions, safety information, operating instructions, and local information.
• Assist customers with fueling their boats and moving boats between docks and the boat ramp.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment to customers as needed.
• Report any damage or concerns about the boats or equipment to management.
• Follow all safety and compliance regulations, conducting daily inspections to ensure safe conditions for staff and customers.
• Complete all other tasks as requested by management.

Skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Knowledge of boating safety procedures.
• Proficient swimmer.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Previous experience in a marina, boating, or hospitality environment is appreciated but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid boating license.

Physical Demands

The role involves heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more, as well as frequent standing, walking, and occasional sitting. Specific activities include:

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods (frequently).
• Repeating motions with wrists, hands, and/or fingers (frequently).
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another (frequently).
• Operating a motor vehicle (rarely).
• Communicating with others to exchange information (constantly).
• Assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned (frequently).
• Hearing, talking, seeing, and eye/hand/foot coordination (constantly).

Work Environment

The position is performed outdoors and may be exposed to intense weather conditions. Other environmental characteristics include:
