About The Role We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Test Engineer to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing test systems for complex electronic and system-level products. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, test coverage, and scalability across production environments. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to build robust automated test solutions, reduce test escapes, and support new product introduction (NPI). Key Responsibilities Test Development & Automation Develop and validate automated test programs and fixtures for manufacturing environmentsSelect and integrate appropriate test equipment for production testingDesign and implement scalable test architectures for system and PCBA-level testingCreate detailed and robust manufacturing test procedures and documentation Failure Analysis & Continuous Improvement Partner with manufacturing and Failure Review Board (FRB) teams to analyze test failuresDrive root cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce test escapesContinuously improve test coverage, reliability, and throughput Manufacturing Support Provide hands-on support to manufacturing test technicians for troubleshooting and repairTrain and guide manufacturing teams on proper use of test equipment and fixturesEnsure stability and uptime of test systems on the production floor Test Systems & Platform Development Lead end-to-end test system development including concept, architecture, design, prototyping, validation, and deploymentCollaborate with suppliers and third-party vendors for test solutionsDevelop scalable test platforms using internal and external technologies Software & Test Validation Define and implement test protocols for software validationEnsure test plans meet quality standards and production requirements New Product Introduction (NPI) Support NPI efforts by developing and deploying manufacturing test solutionsCollaborate with local and remote design teams to ensure test readiness for productionValidate test coverage and readiness before product ramp Cross-Functional Leadership Provide technical oversight for contract manufacturers (CMs) and internal manufacturing processesMentor and train junior manufacturing and test engineersDrive best practices across manufacturing test engineering Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field5–7+ years of experience in PCBA and/or system-level manufacturing environmentsStrong hands-on experience with manufacturing test systems and troubleshootingExperience with automated test development and test equipment integrationStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally Preferred Qualifications Experience with hardware/software integration testingFamiliarity with test frameworks, scripting, and automation toolsExperience working with contract manufacturers and global production environmentsKnowledge of quality and reliability methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, DFx)Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing and product ramp Why This Role Matters This role is critical to ensuring product quality and manufacturing scalability.
