Manufacturing Test Engineer
About the Role
As a Test Engineer with Fluke Electronics, you will analyze, develop, implement, and maintain methods, manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, and equipment requirements for calibration and testing of new and existing products. You will be a major contributor to and owner of key performance indicators in Operations, including: 5S/Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. You will be empowered to make decisions, drive improvements, and have ample opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and improve test systems throughout the factory.
- Drive quality through internal and external root cause countermeasure of failures.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing practices to drive internal and external metrics (quality, cost, innovation).
- Identify and drive cost-saving opportunities through redesign and supplier relationships.
- Advise design engineering on existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to contribute to the development of new designs.
- Specify all hardware requirements for test systems and implement design changes per product requirements.
- Review test results, analyze test data from databases, and improve yields.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with a minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience.
- Good understanding of manufacturing principles.
- Ability to handle high pressures, prioritize workload, and understand the impact of required duties.
- Respond to a metric- and goal-driven environment; take initiative to meet goals.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as .NET, LabView, Python, SolidWorks, etc.
- Strong problem-solving methodology and data analysis/statistical understanding.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $70,600.00 – $117,900.00 (local currency).
