About the Role

Lead the Manufacturing Technology function at a large-scale industrial biotechnology site, managing both project portfolios and team performance. Translate Health and Biosciences Manufacturing Technology and Operations goals into actionable departmental initiatives. Prioritize and manage multiple projects, ensuring effective communication with internal stakeholders, business leaders, and the global Manufacturing Technology organization. Support operations by providing robust process, equipment, and automation design solutions, including proactive troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase capacity, enhance product quality, support safety enhancements, and reduce operational costs. Collaborate with site capital and automation teams to align resources and develop the site’s long-term master plan. Partner with business leaders and the Process Research and Development team to implement new products and process changes. Contribute to global strategies and initiatives as a member of the Health and Biosciences Manufacturing Technology leadership community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of eight years of engineering experience, preferably in industrial or biochemical processing
  • Proven experience in team leadership or project management within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial biotechnology processes, including fermentation, downstream processing, and both liquid and solid formulation
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple locations, functions, and business divisions
  • Strong decision-making, prioritization, and strategic thinking skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with confidence in engaging senior leadership
  • Solid financial and business acumen, including experience in project justification and budgeting
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals
  • Familiar with Microsoft applications such as MS Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build strong productive relationships
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities
