Manufacturing Technician II, Instruments

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Technician II, Instruments at Diasorin, you will be responsible for the assembly and integration of mechanical, fluidic, electronic, optical, and electro-mechanical systems. This role supports quality manufacturing production, including system integration testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining product knowledge. You will work within a focused manufacturing operation, potentially on alternate shifts, to deliver production requirements against schedules.

Responsibilities

• Stage material for production as needed.
• Coordinate with other technicians daily to support integration testing, manual instruction development, and production process development to ensure a quality process and product.
• Perform hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of system builds and re-work.
• Become proficient at building subassemblies currently produced in manufacturing.
• Work from documented procedures and maintain quality data.
• Deliver manufacturing requirements and meet production schedules.
• Coordinate process and manual instruction updates.
• Share knowledge and train co-workers and new employees.
• Establish effective working partnerships with other departments to promote communication and knowledge transfer.
• Participate in applicable departmental and interdepartmental training.
• Maintain current and effective training on standard operating procedures, work instructions, and applicable changes affecting Reagent Manufacturing.
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of manufacturing and storage areas.
• Perform timely and accurate inventory cycle counts and inventory-based transactions in Oracle.
• Maintain personal and departmental compliance with the Quality System.
• Adhere to safety, disposal, and gowning requirements (as required by area).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in mechanical or electronics field (required).
• Two or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, specifically in troubleshooting and problem resolution (required).
• Experience in soldering (preferred).
• Experience working with GMP (preferred).
