Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality production in downstream filling and packaging departments
  • Filling, capping, labeling, and assembling sub-assemblies and finished goods
  • Maintain world-class standards and help compete on a global scale
  • Perform tasks in a clean manufacturing environment, adhering to safety protocols with PPE
  • Operate both manual and automated filling equipment
  • Complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements on time and align with all ISO and regulatory standards
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively to meet daily production goals
  • Interact with internal personnel to ensure smooth operations and customer happiness
  • Address deviations from accepted practices and maintain strong attendance and punctuality
  • Participate in one-on-one training until proficient
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a life sciences manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Proven ability to follow policies, procedures, and schedules independently
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift/move objects: 10lbs regularly, 25lbs frequently, 50lbs occasionally
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic environment

Qualifications

Located in Austin, TX, this position entails assisting the Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) with relevant experience in GSD or a similar field.
