About the Role
Manufacturing Technicians are part of teams that design, develop, and manufacture electronic and software systems according to medical device product requirements and specifications. They work alongside both the NPI engineering teams and the production teams to assist with issues that occur prior to or during production. Manufacturing Technicians may help provide work direction to device assemblers to meet customers’ needs and values by delivering quality product and services. They may also help identify resources or needs for troubleshooting and rework of printed circuit boards. Technicians perform all tasks required to manufacture and test electro-mechanical software-based devices and may rotate through these tasks.
Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, assemble, and rework electronic systems
- Provide work direction when needed
- Perform checklist duties and database transactions on assemblies built by others
- Identify assembly and test issues and suggest improvements
- Reinforce overall compliance with general standards and procedures
- Communicate work direction, issues, and solutions to assemblers and associated teams
- Tackle problems and take independent action when faced with production roadblocks
- Recognize issues and respond systematically to discover root causes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate degree in an applicable field (preferred)
- 3-5 years of experience in electronics design, assembly, or testing (required)
- Skilled in the use of electronic test and measurement equipment or soldering of electronic components
- Ability to work well both within teams and individually
- Skilled in the use of computers and ability to adapt to new technology with ease
- Ability to effectively motivate and lead a team toward a common goal
- Ability to read and accurately follow procedures
- Strong leadership abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Subject to mandatory overtime based on business demands
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Office and production environment
Pay
$29–$33 per hour
