About the role

A Snapshot of Your Day In this role, you’ll be using hand tools and measuring devices to determine parts quality, following quality procedures and policies in the Gibsonton Florida Location.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, troubleshoot, and operate testing equipment on castings using FPI rework tools.
  • Will work in an environment that utilizes UV light inspection devices.
  • Monitor and maintain good documentation practices, adjust machines, set controls, and perform troubleshooting as required by quality criteria.
  • Clean and maintain equipment for organization and safety and continuously perform improvement analysis assisting on tooling setups and changeovers.
  • Use hand tools, including Die grinders, abrasive tool belts, grinders, files, and measuring devices.
  • Other duties may be assigned, and cross-training as needed.

Requirements

  • Evidence of a complete High School or GED is required.
  • 1 year of experience using hand tools is preferred.
  • Experience with Inspection Equipment (calipers, pin gauges, etc.) using the metric system and able to perform math functions, read/comprehend Engineering instructions, and mechanical attitude.
  • A background in plastics, metal castings, and manufacturing settings is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • This position will require an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position.
  • The candidate must be able to work with export-controlled technology in accordance with US export control law.
