Manufacturing Technician - Entry Level
About the role
This position is located at Northrop Grumman's Iuka, MS site and involves hands-on work in manufacturing operations. Key responsibilities include reading and understanding blueprints, aligning parts, performing various fabrication tasks, and ensuring quality control.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand blueprints
- Translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies
- Perform precision drilling, countersinking, and use calibrated tools
- Align parts on jigs using templates and fixtures
- Perform part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
- Measure parts with precision tools like micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions
- Modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and verify quality
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance, and team effectiveness
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitive work including bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 35 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret level clearance and Special Program Access within a reasonable period
- Successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period
- Ability to work any shift
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Current/active U.S. Government Secret level clearance
- U.S. Citizenship required for clearance
- Passive U.S. Government Secret level clearance preferred

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $32,500.00 - $54,100.00, with potential for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus. Long-term incentives may also be available for select roles.
Schedule
This position may be filled at varying shift times including weekdays, nights, and weekends (shift differential paid during eligible shifts).
