Manufacturing Technician - Coatings 2/3
About the role
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Technician - Coatings 2 or Manufacturing Technician - Coatings 3 based out of Clearfield, Utah. This position involves working on the next generation composite structures, fabricating composite hardware using various methods, and meeting customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Work on the fabrication of composite hardware using methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming, and final finishing.
- Develop skills to competently perform tasks necessary to produce product that meets customer expectations.
- Perform tasks in team environments or individually.
Requirements
- Manufacturing/Production Experience: 2 years for Manufacturing Technician 2, 4 years for Manufacturing Technician 3.
- LO (Low Observable) Coating Knowledge: Must have knowledge of materials, processes, and application.
- Respirator Qualification: Ability to obtain respirator qualification, including passing respirator fit testing and complying with PPE requirements.
- Pneumatic Tools Experience: Experience with pneumatic (air-powered) tools and adherence to standard safe operating practices.
- Secret Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing Technician 2: High School Diploma or GED, and 2 years of relatable aircraft experience.
- Manufacturing Technician 3: High School Diploma or GED, and 4 years of relatable aircraft experience.
Skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Benefits
The position offers a competitive salary range, depending on the level (Level 2 or Level 3), with a primary range of $44,400.00 - $74,000.00 and a secondary range of $52,700.00 - $87,900.00. Additional benefits include health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, Company paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
