What You'll Do
- Follow all safety rules and model safe behaviors at all times.
- Identify and assess safety risk at all times.
- Take ownership for training to ensure equipment is operated safely and to continuously learn and build capability and skill.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with supervision and with equipment and engineering teams to escalate issues.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities including safety/ergonomic concerns and yield and delivery concerns. Lead problem solving for small improvement projects.
- Execute housekeeping and ensure 5S is sustained.
- Understand equipment controls, monitor recipes and good run settings to ensure process is in control, and interact with equipment as necessary.
- Perform autonomous maintenance type PMs.
- Cookordinate work for team based on planned and unplanned downtime, production schedules, and cycle times.
- Back-up for all positions in their area.
- Communicate status of equipment and key KPIs to supervision and to next shift.
- Responsible for finished material quality for the area.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in large or small scale manufacturing in a production process role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in web handling processes within the Cell Foil Coating Team.
- Experience with operating and troubleshooting automated/semi-automated manufacturing equipment, basic mechanical troubleshooting preferred.
- Demonstrate ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions, Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles is preferred, but not required.
- Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure.
- Demonstrate ability to be a self-driven contributor with limited supervision.
Essential Physical Demands
- Medically cleared to pass fit test to wear a N95 or a PAPR.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps.
- Frequently and repetitively lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Frequently and repetitively bend, lift and reach.
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures.
- Potential exposure to confined spaces, hazardous materials, and working at heights.
