Responsibilities
- Manufacturing and assembly of mechanical and electrical systems including compressors, fans, electronic control units and cables/harnesses.
- Build and assemble prototype Vapor Cycle Systems, fans and according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Perform testing and validation of systems and components to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance with standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues with feedback to the engineering team for recommended solutions to resolve technical problems encountered during testing or production.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, equipment calibration and prototype units under test.
- Support procurement, vendor management and inventory management for materials and components.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in design and testing procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when working with equipment and hazardous materials.
- Utilize a variety of equipment and tools for building and testing of prototypes.
- Provide technical support and assistance to production and manufacturing teams as needed.
- Maintain and provide continuous improvement opportunities to Sr leadership to facility as they are identified.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years in a manufacturing environment or a related field is preferred.
- US Citizen with the ability to maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with various hand tools and electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes in the field of manufacturing.
- Willingness to learn and use CAD software as needed to support the engineering team.
