Manufacturing Technician
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, monitor, and control manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes according to established procedures.
- Clean and sanitize manufacturing, filling, and packaging rooms and equipment in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Execute the production schedule to meet established production goals and timelines.
- Handle labeling and components accurately, including transferring, counting, applying FIFO practices, and managing returns.
- Participate in and support event response activities, including deviations or issues that arise during production.
- Review and author SOPs and other operational documents as required to support continuous improvement and compliance.
- Identify, report, and help resolve quality issues in a timely and thorough manner.
- Execute and/or assist with equipment maintenance, including restoration of lost function, predictive maintenance, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Train fellow employees in areas of expertise and proactively learn new systems and equipment outside of current expertise, as appropriate for skill level.
- Record and review production data in Batch Production Records (BPR) and associated forms with accuracy and completeness.
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements while performing daily duties.
- Perform other related accountabilities and tasks as assigned to support overall manufacturing operations.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience working under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience in cleanroom operations or similar controlled environments.
- Prior experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in a filling or production setting.
- Ability to stay on task and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, labeling, and handling of components.
- Reliability and punctuality, with consistent presence on scheduled workdays.
- Comfort working within a structured, team-based environment and following established SOPs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Biowork-related experience or training is acceptable and considered relevant.
- Ability to learn and operate new equipment and systems beyond current areas of expertise.
- Capability to train others and share knowledge within the team.
- Strong communication skills for documenting activities and collaborating with colleagues.
- Willingness to support event response and continuous improvement initiatives.
Work Environment
- Operates within a regulated manufacturing environment that includes cleanroom and filling operations.
- Involved in frequent interaction with production equipment, cleaning and sanitization activities, and adherence to GMP standards and SOPs.
- Following a 2-2-3 schedule, working from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, which typically includes a rotating pattern of workdays and days off.
- The environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and compliance.
- Employees are expected to follow all safety and environmental requirements and adhere to the appropriate cleanroom and facility attire standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Clayton, NC.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.74 - $21.74/hr.
