About the Role
Supports all aspects regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost (SQDC) of the assigned production Value Stream(s).
Responsibilities
- Put Safety first at all times; never compromise on safety for the obtainment of other objectives.
- Responsible for health and safety of themselves and coworkers.
- Perform manufacturing operations within a carbon fiber composite site.
- Accurately and efficiently set up equipment per engineering instructions.
- Execute daily start-up activities.
- Accurately complete/create documentation associated with production processes.
- Maintain a safe workspace/environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering instructions.
Skills & Characteristics
- Ability to work a 24/7 schedule and be available as business situations require, with overtime dependent on business need.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
- Physical demands include: stooping, crouching, walking, pulling, light lifting (up to 25 pounds), grasping, hearing, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering, and climbing.
- Frequently positions sheets of material onto molds and/or manually sands parts.
- Frequent repetitive hand movements and use of hand tools such as pliers, sanders, and scissors.
- Frequently remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time.
- Must be able to detect and recognize visual differences between materials or parts.
- Frequently moves molds and parts over 25 lbs between work tables and carts.
- Indoor production environment with adequate lighting and comfortable temperatures.
- Occasional exposure to moderate noise and machinery with mechanical moving parts.
