Manufacturing Technician 3 (Day Shift)
About the role
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician 3 to join our team. This role involves working on the assembly and troubleshooting of complex systems, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate safe work practices including electrical safety, safe lifting techniques, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.
- Integrate subassemblies and components into the build of complex systems to prepare for functional testing by following work instructions.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as torque wrenches, DMMs, height standards, precision measurement tools, levels, and unique electronic data gathering tools as prescribed in work instructions.
- Disassemble and pack systems in preparation for shipment and delivery to customers.
- Write daily pass downs and store build data as directed.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and assist Manufacturing Engineers in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
- Identify improvement opportunities for safety, manufacturing processes, or 6S as they arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in assembly and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Ability to work the second shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing.
- Proficiency in using standard hand tools and standard office equipment.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s degree in technical engineering.
- Knowledge of hardware, software, and control systems.
- Experience with manufacturing is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is preferred.
- Aptitude for identifying and resolving recurring problems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to interface with assembly technicians, engineering, management, customers, sales, and marketing.
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required.
Work Environment
The position involves assembling and manufacturing complex systems, including vacuum-based equipment, electrical, mechanical, and control boxes.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

Shift hours are from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

This is a fully onsite, contract position based in San Jose, CA.
