Manufacturing Technician; 1st shift

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of equipment, setup and changeovers, and training of AMT and TNT technicians.

• Oversee the assembly process from start to finish
• Understand and monitor PLC and Robotic programs
• Equipment troubleshooting and repair
• Report production statistics such as finished goods, scrap, productivity, etc.
• Order supplies and equipment when needed, maintain spare parts inventory
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment
• Ensure proper tooling and computer programs are applied to new product setups
• Support production operators and Engineering to resolve production issues
• Participate in process improvement activities
• Other activities as assigned

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Electromechanical Technology or Automated Manufacturing Systems
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• Ability to lead teams effectively - typically team of 2-5 members
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures and repair mechanical, pneumatic and electronics systems
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and able to consistently meet project deadlines

Working Conditions

The following equipment is used: Computer, telephone, hand tools, and production equipment. Personal Protective Equipment/Clothing Required (PPE) includes Safety glasses with attached side shields, ESD smock and grounding equipment, Heat resistant and/or cut resistant gloves, and Disposal gloves/finger cots as required.
