Duties & Responsibilities: Manufacturing/Production Technician Summary: Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assembliesDetermines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagramsTests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systemsMay complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testingPrepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problemsMay assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates knowledge of the overall organizationDemonstrates knowledge of at least two or more functionsWork assignments entail coordination of several different functional activitiesFull use and application of standard principles, theories, concepts, and techniquesHas work experience and is knowledgeable of practices that integrate work product with other functional teamsWorks under normal supervisionFollows established directionFreedom to decide on daily activities and use new methodologies and make decisions to meet job requirementsWork is reviewed by functional leaders to ensure coordination of objectivesContributes to projects that drive organizational collaborationWork product is important to more than functionFailure to accomplish results may result on timing or cost impact for program or productNon-delivery of work product may result in the allocation of additional resources Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements: GED/High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred 2+ years of relevant experiencePerforms the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems.May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
