Position Summary
The Home Building Team Members perform manufacturing production operations in each department of the home building process, following standard methods and safe work habits to ensure efficient and safe production.
Responsibilities
- Practice safe work habits, adhering to OSHA regulations, to ensure efficient and safe production.
- Work in a team environment to produce high-quality products while meeting productivity objectives.
- Protect company assets from damage and misuse, report maintenance needs, and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator in planning and organizing manufacturing activities by communicating material shortages, tool maintenance needs, and quality/productivity issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Versatility and willingness to transfer between departments as needed.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is highly desired.
Internal Qualifications
- Even-tempered and positive attitude with a strong focus on teamwork and communication.
- No past verbal disciplinary action for attendance.
- Achieved at least “High Performing” on the most recent evaluation.
- No final written disciplinary actions in the last 6 months.
- Ability to learn from feedback and follow procedures.
- Ability to read confirmation orders, build accurately with minimal quality issues, and maintain a sense of urgency.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds, along with performing other physical duties as needed.
