Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a Production Worker or in a similar role
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers to operate and inspect machinery and metal pieces
- Regularly lift and/or move objects 10 to 50lbs.
- Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100lbs to position metal objects to begin and finish treatment processes and/or prepare for shipping
- Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl to position self to move metal objects for treatment or packing
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining production machinery
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus
- Must be able to detect slight differences in various finishes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Duties & Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules
- Filling out production sheets and packing tickets
- Reading & understanding work orders
- Color & Coating checks
- Operation of hand tools (drill, hammer, air mailer, saws, etc.)
- Counting of product
- Creating or making bundles, crates, or skids
- Identification of defects
- Identification of proper packing method of product (i.e. S-interleave, layer, cardboard, foam, or any othr type)
- Prepare materials and equipment needed for production
- Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and specifications
- Packaging and labeling finished products according to company and customer requirements
- Loading and unloading materials in and out of the production area using forklifts or other industrial equipment
- Perform routine maintenance on production machinery to ensure optimal functionality
- Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on production procedures and safety guidelines
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the production area and report any potential hazards or accidents
