Manufacturing Team Lead I (WC1, 2nd Shift 5x8)

The Value Stream Team Lead I will provide daily work direction for a production department of 5-40 production associates, ensuring the continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following operations standards (safety, quality, delivery, cost, maintenance).
Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous production flow to meet planned output while adhering to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and maintenance standards.
- Identify process and resource constraints; resolve issues using decision-making and problem-solving techniques to meet SQDC metrics.
- Engage Tier 1 teams in process or problem resolution and escalate issues to Tier 2 teams as needed.
- Partner with Value Stream Supervisors to facilitate training and development of production employees, providing clear expectations of performance, AMS, quality, and safety.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and maintain a cross-training matrix to utilize employee capabilities effectively.
- Coordinate employee movement to meet business needs and support AMS projects and initiatives to improve business metrics.
- Maintain visual management tools (PVA, run charts, CI boards, and Tier 1 boards) to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement.
- Participate in problem-solving using AMS tools and methodology (5 Why, PDCA, MCA).
- Demonstrate leadership in communications, conflict resolution, and problem-solving; lead daily Tier One meetings to encourage employee participation.
- Support other production areas as needed, including project support, leader coverage, and cycle counting.
- Complete standard work and control plan audits (safety, finished goods quality, scrap, standard work) and participate in corrective actions from the MCA process.
- Enforce all safety procedures, proactively address safety concerns, and take appropriate action or follow-up.
Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge and application of continuous improvement processes such as 5s and problem-solving methods; Lean training or certification preferred.
- Understanding of operations products, processes, and equipment, including safety, quality, changeover, set-up skills, and preventative maintenance techniques.
- Knowledge of interdependencies across the value stream (manufacturing/functional groups).
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$22.25 - $32.25 per hour.
