Manufacturing Support Operator - 3rd Shift

About the role

KEMET Electronics Corporation, a YAGEO Group company, seeks a Manufacturing Assistant to support operations at our Simpsonville, SC facility. The ideal candidate will contribute to the smooth functioning of manufacturing processes while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety regulations and report hazards
• Maintain work areas and equipment cleanliness using 5S standards
• Communicate housekeeping requirements to operators and lead by example
• Operate production equipment according to standard procedures
• Inspect materials and work quality, reporting issues to appropriate personnel
• Record required information in pass down logs and maintain documentation
• Set up and change over equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs and maintenance with guidance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 1 year Manufacturing Experience
• Good command of English in both verbal and written communication
• Strong quality consciousness and mechanical skills
• Good time management and self-motivation
• Basic computer skills for manufacturing operation system
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment
• Hazardous material disposal certification (as needed)
• Forklift certification through KEMET (as needed)

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 year Manufacturing Experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Hazardous material disposal certification (as needed), Forklift certification through KEMET (as needed)
