About the role

The Manufacturing Support Engineer will join the Product Engineering team for Large High Voltage Motors, working closely with factory personnel and Assembly Department processes. This role involves troubleshooting manufacturing issues, implementing containment actions, and supporting permanent corrective solutions. As a liaison between Manufacturing and Product Engineering, you will drive root cause analysis, continuous improvement initiatives, and design or process enhancements to improve product quality, safety, and manufacturing efficiency. The position is based in Norwood, Ohio, and requires in-office attendance five days per week to provide direct support to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Track, prioritize, and communicate open manufacturing issues.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and support shop-floor operations.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Update BOMs, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Identify and drive process, quality, and design improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.
• Support continuous improvement and engineering change initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD modeling (Siemens NX preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting manufacturing or assembly operations.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with BOM management, engineering changes, and ERP systems.
• Understanding of electric motors, rotating equipment, or related industrial products.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $63,000 - $117,000. The actual wage offered may vary based on budget, candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
